What Happened – November 15

It was on this day in 1968 that I earned the right to have cake at least once a year. Tho, in all fairness, my mom&dad had more to do with that than I did.

The earliest event Wiki says happened on this day is “655 – Battle of Winwaed: Penda of Mercia is defeated by Oswiu of Northumbria” and the most recent is “2007 – Cyclone Sidr hit Bangladesh, killing an estimated 5000 people and destroyed the world’s largest mangrove forest, Sundarbans.

A few other things that also took place on this day are:

1777 – Articles of Confederation are approved by the Continental Congress.

1939 – The cornerstone for the Jefferson Memorial is laid down.

1969 – The first Wendy’s restaurant is opened.

Happy birthday to Rachel True, Kevin Eubanks, Michael Hampton, Beverly D’Angelo, Bill Richardson, Bob Gunton, Petula Clark, Ed Asner, C. W. McCall, and Joseph Wapner.
