From the Portage Daily Register:
Police Notebook for Friday, July 13, 2012
Information is taken from the records of the Portage Police Department and does not represent a comprehensive list of police department activity. Each individual named in this report is presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Between 8:44 a.m. Tuesday and 6:30 a.m. Thursday, police responded to 70 calls.
And one lucky guy was the reason for two of those calls:
200 block of Henry Drive: Police at 3:13 p.m. Tuesday responded to a disturbance in the parking lot of an apartment building. Police said a man was yelling and swearing loudly at a woman, and at police after they arrived. The man, Timothy McEvoy, 19, of Portage, was arrested on a disorderly conduct charge.
Parking lot of Columbia County Jail, 403 Jackson St.: Police at 4:18 p.m. responded to a report of a disturbance to find McEvoy, recently released on bail, yelling and swearing and that he threw a phone. McEvoy was taken back to jail on charges of disorderly conduct and two counts of bail jumping.
I shouldn’t laugh at other people’s misfortunes, but come on dude! Don’t let some girl get you so worked up that you get arrested twice in one hour….that’s just silly. So silly that one HAS to at least giggle, if not a full-fledged guffaw!
I’m gonna have to check the police report next week and see if he managed to calm down or not…
